The RHS Tatton Flower Show is the largest annual event in the Cheshire region and attracts over 90,000 visitors as well as regional and national media. The BBC is the official broadcaster of the show and around 1.6 million people watch the television coverage each year. Last year’s show generated print coverage which reached minimum 8,224,401 in 132 articles, including 6 national newspapers.
The ‘Care Home Garden’ will be one of the exhibits at this year’s Flower Show held at Tatton Park in July and will highlight the benefits of gardening to the frail and elderly within a care home setting.
The garden has been designed by Joan Mulvenna of Garden Design Manchester and includes the new and unique Mobile Therapy Garden System designed and produced by Instaplanta (Yorkshire) Ltd.
The garden can be enjoyed and cared for outdoors, but the truly revolutionary aspect of the design is that the pods can be easily lifted, transported and tended indoors – providing opportunities for gardening to all residents and in all weathers.
The exhibitors are keen that the garden continues to have a life after the show. By securing a key sponsor the garden will be transferred in its entirety to a Residential Care Home of their choice.
The sponsors of the garden will also benefit from the excellent marketing and PR opportunities that are present throughout the show.
